April 2018 Optometry Industry Report [INFOGRAPHIC]

April continued a strong hiring trend that began in March, with iHireOptometry adding 7,573 new jobs throughout the month (an increase of more than 1,000 jobs over March’s numbers). There was a fair amount of change in the top skills listed in optometry job ads this month, with several more technical abilities replacing areas of expertise related to sales and customer service.

On the job seeker side, optician/optical sales replaced medical receptionist/assistant as the job title with the most candidates. The total unique visitors for the month was just shy of 22,000.
