Dr. Walter Brenart started the footprint for Brenart Eye Clinic in Chicago in 1960. In 1980, Dr. Robert Brenart expanded on that principle when he opened a one-doctor eye clinic in his Yorkville home, bringing full-scope eye care into the community where he and his wife were raising their children.

When Dr. Robert Brenart’s children, Dr. Nicole Zangler and Dr. Rob Brenart, became optometrists themselves, they joined him at the family-owned clinic, drawn by their father’s sense of community and dedication to serving patients’ needs.

Over 4 decades in Yorkville, Brenart Eye Clinic has expanded into a team of 11 doctors and 40 staff with the latest technology in eye care. Over the years, we have helped tens of thousands of patients see and feel better with services including vision eye exams, contact lenses, medical eye health exams, pediatric services, traumatic brain injury treatment, and cataract and retinal surgery. Today, Brenart Eye Clinic is one of Illinois’ largest multi-disciplinary clinics, a long journey from our one-doctor office over 40 years ago.
