Optometry Tech - Part Time

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT OUR EAST CLINIC AT 11511 E 21st Street, Tulsa, OK

This position involves assisting the optometrist with eye examinations, performing diagnostic tests, and ensuring the proper functioning of eye care equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with eye exams.
• Performs diagnostic tests.
• Supports patients through various eye care procedures, ensuring the patients comfort through the process.
• Obtains medical histories, providing instructions in English or Spanish, ensuring that all patients fully understand their care.
• Ensures proper functioning of eye care equipment.

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Ophthalmic certification preferred but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• One (1) to two (2) experience in ophthalmology or an optometry office is required.
• Experience working as an ophthalmic technician preferred.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while delivering exceptional patient care
• Able to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively with the optometrist and the other clinic staff.
• Ability to be flexible and have excellent organizational skills.
