Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Optometrist to join our dynamic team in both our Gainesville and Chiefland offices. We offer full or part-time or contract opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a difference in their community by providing high-quality eye care and improving patients' quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye diseases and conditions
  • Fit patients with corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses
  • Perform visual field testing, refraction, and utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as optical coherence tomography and keratometry
  • Provide pre-and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries

  • Educate patients on eye health, vision care, and available treatment options
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid Florida Optometry License (or ability to obtain one)
  • Experience in managing a range of eye conditions (e.g., diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, LASIK)
  • Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with patients
  • A commitment to providing excellent patient care
